This workshop will be the first one arranged within the RJ research programme “Understanding Agency: Conceptions of action, human nature and value in the western philosophical tradition” lead by Lilli Alanen, professor of the history of philosophy at the University of Uppsala. In line with the overall theme of the programme, this workshop will contribute to investigating Spinoza’s and Leibniz’s conceptions of human action, with particular emphasis on the connection between the concept of agency and the mind-body relationship. The organising committee of the workshop includes Lilli Alanen and PhD-students Minna Koivuniemi and Peter Myrdal.

Magnifique sujet pour tous ceux qui se posent la question de l’intelligence artificielle (l’absence de rapport entre l’âme et le corps de la machine un argument qui revient souvent) pour un colloque qui, je l’espère, donnera lieu à la publication d’actes.
